Pat Harris

Artist manager, producer and agent Pat Harris, has been managing and booking jazz artists since 1997 with a roster that has included the award winning jazz vocalist/guitarist Allan Harris; Russian saxophonist Igor Butman and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra; jazz pianist Eric Reed; renowned TV actor/cabaret singer Gloria Reuben; and young piano/organ prodigy Matthew Whitaker. Harris has been a panelist for IAJE, Jazz Congress, and Jazz Across Borders (which she helped organize in St. Petersburg, Russia). She is a member of the Woodshed Network an organization created by Dee Dee Bridgewater that supports women in Jazz. She runs an independent record label, Love Productions Records, for which she has co-produced 12 Allan Harris recordings: Setting The Standard, The Songs of Strayhorn, Cross That River, Cry of the Thunderbird, Long Live the King, A Nat King Cole Christmas, Open Up Your Mind, Convergence, Black Bar Jukebox, Nobody’s Gonna Love You Better, the Genius of Eddie Jefferson, and Kate's Soulfood. For the past 18 years she has produced 2 Great Days of Jazz for the Association of Performing Arts Presenters’ annual conference in New York. She has also produced Jazz at Sotheby’s, Monday Night Jazz in Harlem, and the parlor jazz series, Harlem After Dark along with the weekly stream of Harlem After Dark Unplugged series launched during the pandemic for 83 consecutive weeks. Harris is a co-writer and producer of the Allan Harris musical Cross That River which made its critically acclaimed debut at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2009. Not only has Cross That River been awarded a Chamber Music America residency grant so that it could be presented at 12 Harlem schools, it has also appeared at the Kennedy Center, Mass MoCA, Theatre Aspen, Joe’s Pub, the ASCAP Musical Theatre Festival, The State Theater, The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Savannah Music Festival, Newberry Opera House, B.B. Kings Blues Club, the Blue Note, San Angelo Performing Arts Center, Lone Tree Performing Arts Center, The Wharton Center, The Berglund Center, The TACAW Center, Faison Firehouse Theater-Harlem and many more. Cross That River recently completed a successful five week run at 59E59 Theaters and has been out on tour in 2022 - 2023.
